We put a great deal of focus on social media and the content that we were creating and posting at Beepo.

We had some key learnings and a few surprises along the way.

Here are the top 4 tips that became the secret of our success on social media.

Keep it separate
At Beepo we have a few different brands and a number of people that are active on our social media. We have separate posting plans for them all, and different content. At any one time, we could have 7 posting plans and be creating content for these.


Personality and authenticity
We let go and it worked. We decided that we wanted to show more of our personality as a business and therefore created more behind the scenes content to show who we are and what we do. We showed authenticity in what we do and it worked exceptionally well for us. It allowed us to connect with our audience on a really personal level.


Create original content
While there is still value in using curated content, we decided to reduce this and create more of our own original content. This is a way to really set yourself apart and showcase your business whether it be through blogs, downloadable information, videos or opinion pieces.


Return on investment
Understanding your return on investment with social media is critical to ensure that you are focusing on the right things. At Beepo we helped our understanding of this through investing in marketing automation and measurement tools, and in particular through our use of Hubspot.
