Truly influential people have a magnet inside of them that just attracts people to them, to their hope, faith and perseverance.

I believe it is something that can be cultivated and amplified over time by being conscious of, and adopting some of the common habits, and if you have an undeniable desire to help create change of any sort.

Powerful people have an influential impact on everyone they meet. They achieve this because they exert so much inspiration inside themselves that it just burst out.

The magnetism that makes their influence possible is earned through a labour of innovation and leadership.

And while what people are influenced by varies the distinctive habits that remain. Their fixated pursuit of brilliance is driven by these 7 habits that you can emulate and absorb until your influence grows:

Habit 1: Liberated Thoughts

Influential people are mostly innovators and disruptors.  They don’t disrupt or challenge things just for the sake of being disruptive, they do this as they strive to make things better.  They aren’t governed by the hottest trends or by other opinions. They form their views sensibly and based on the facts, knowledge and personal experiences. They are also open to being swayed to change their mind when the facts support it.

Habit 2: Social Inspiration

When influential people speak, they can command a room’s attention with a simple tale, conversations spread like wildfire around them.  Their views and insights inspire people around them to live a little, challenge the status quo and to explore new ideas and think differently about their world.

Habit 3: People People

A natural knack in communications leaves a lasting impression, and influential people tend to know a lot of people, and even more people will know them or know of them.  Not only do they know a lot of people, they get to know the connections of their connections, because if you were to ever refer someone to them for work as an example, they will treat them as if they were a long lost buddy.  They share advice and know-how and they add value to everyone in their network and are very likely to cross introduce within their circles.

Habit 4: Constructive criticism

Influential people welcome constructive criticism and they do not react emotionally and defensively to differences in opinions—they embrace them. They’re modest enough to know that they don’t know the whole shebang and that somebody else could very well identify an area they have missed. And if that person is correct, they will enthusiastically embrace it, because for them the end result is way more important than always being right.

Habit 5: Lovers of Tech

Influential people don’t wait around for new technologies or ideas to find them, they will seek those things out, and if they can’t find it, they may very well create it. These early adopters always want to get ahead and love to lead the way with new tech especially.  They usually have the latest phones, software and enjoy a more modern marketing approach.  They are always looking to fine tune process flow and make things better, so they see what’s coming, and they see what’s coming because they intentionally look for it. Then they spread the word, because they love to share.

Habit 6: Deep Thinkers

Influential people know how important relationships are, and they won’t let an emotional overreaction harm theirs. That is why they will intentionally always respond, not REACT.  If someone criticises an influential person for a slip-up, or if someone else makes a critical mistake, they don’t tend to feel the need to react immediately, and they hold poise emotionally. They wait. They think. And then they deliver an appropriate reply. They know that emotions are contagious, and overreacting has a negative influence on everyone around them.

Habit 7: Eternal Optimism

Influential people optimistically always expect the best. They take responsibility and truly believe in their own power to achieve their dreams, and in others with the same drive to do the same.  They believe that nothing is out of scope, and that belief motivates those around them to strive for their own goals.

They wholeheartedly believe that one sole person can change the world.
